So being an engineer major, I sometimes think people forget that I am a girl. Not in that sense, but that I am a girlie girl. For example, sometimes the guys start talking in class, like guy talk, and I think they forget that I am there. I think to myself, "HELLO.... girl present!" And other times, I walked in to class, sat by a guy, and this is what he said to me, "You smell like a girl." What else would I smell like, I am assuming to take that as a compliment. lol It's just the small things you pick up on being in a man's world of engineering. My friend always jokes that I didn't pick the most girlie major, so it's what I get to deal with, almost every day.
But today my friends was different. Today, I pampered myself. Okay so not over the top. Some was much needed. I got my hair cut, when and got my nails done, and soaked up some sun while reading my novel. Such a great day. It was nice to dedicate most of my day to just me and not worry about school and everything else in life (cuz that all comes back this weekend). Oh it was such a joyous way to spend a day of spring break. Every once in a while you definitely need a day to yourself. So here's to a day to me!
